Breck Adam Callens

So we are a family of 4! Crazy to think I am a mom of 2 boys. Who would have thought. This last week has been a blur and the labor and delivery was even faster. Sunday April 25 my water broke at 6am (2 weeks before my due date). I wasn't really feeling contractions so I decided to take a shower and finish getting the hospital bag ready. Luckily Cade woke up before we left and we got to get him ready and say Bye before we sent him off with his uncle. We got to the hospital around 8am and by now I was starting to feel the contractions. It took about 10 minutes to get us checked in and for them to do the test to make sure my water broke. The nurse finally checked me and realized I was already 6cm and that I still needed the strep B medicine so she called the on call doctor to get permission to put me in a room (she still hadn't received the actual water breaking results). We got into the room at about 8:35 they gave me an IV and I asked the nurse to check me again at about 8:45 and the nurse was shocked because I was ready to push. 8:48 am Breck Adam Callens was born. Luckily an OB specialist was near by to catch the baby. No epidural was given and because I didn't get the antibiotics for strep B we had to stay another day. We are both doing well and we are all adjusting to being a family of 4.


6lbs 7 oz and 20.28 in. long



Cade has been such a good big brother already. He likes to give high 5's and is very concerned when the baby cries.

Great Wolf Lodge

This last week we went to Great Wolf Lodge. If you haven't heard of it, it's an indoor water park. I know some of you are thinking lame but in the Northwest it is actually perfect. It was a fun little vacation.
